In 1947, the directors of J.Lyons & Co, the British catering company that put a tea shop in almost every town, took the very brave and innovative decision to promote the development and use of commercial computers.
The result was the Leo computer, which was installed and operational in 1951, it was the worlds first, routine office computer.
