Mary Shelley author of Frankenstein 1818

We are all very familiar with the novel ‘Frankenstein’, penned by Mary Shelley and published in 1818 but it is not so well known that Mary Shelley was the daughter of  Mary Wollstonecraft a writer herself and early advocate for women’s rights.

The novel ‘Frankenstein’ is considered a classic work of Gothic literature and tells the story of a scientist who creates another human being and the resulting consequences.
