Queen Victoria Dies 22nd January 1901

Queen Victoria reigned over the nation and empire for 63 years in Great Britain. She died on the 22nd Jan 1901, when she was 82 years old,from a cerebral haemorrhage. Her empire and colonies had to mourn at the dawn of the 20th Century the loss of this monarch, held in deep affection by her people.

The Queen died on a couch bed in her bedroom at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. She died at the age of 82 years old from a cerebral haemorrhage.

She was succeeded by he son Edward VII and the century begins with the Edwardian era that follows, thus began a very different era from the period of his mother’s reign.
