Map your history, make new connections and gain insights for family, local or special interest projects

Intriguing History

Intriguing History is a free to use project that is experimenting with mapping and connecting historical information across a wide range of British Historical Themes of particular interest to family, local and social historians.

Free to Use

It is a free to use service and is created as part of a series of beta projects that take the approach of digital humanities and seeks to apply and explore some of those principles in this modest, open access and format. This is one of a number of projects and as these are being developed on a voluntary basis, there maybe peaks and troughs in activity but we are always pleased to hear from and share with others interested in these areas.

Citing Us

We are always delighted when students use our work for projects etc and realize you need an authors name, so here you are!

I have just found this site, it looks very interesting, I will be sharing it with other here in Australia

It is interesting but in places seems very politically biased which is a shame because that spoils what would be a good site.

Hi Ian thanks for your comment, no deliberate intent to push one political view or another but appreciate your input and we are listening. We will consider more going forwards.

Thanks Helga, that is very kind and generous of you, we work quite a lot with folks in Australia, thanks again.
